in the end

in the end.

2022.

video (loop).

16 minutes.

in the end nothing happened and it was fine.

we witness or hear about several types of events and collapses. as catastrophic and "reshaping" as these might be considered, there seems to be reversal to a default state. not through cynicism or apathy but the inevitable speed the world moves.

are chimneys, factories and the skies above them in agreement to their existence and symbiotic existence? what agency do we give smoke? banishment? destruction?

the scrolling nature of the text, reminiscent to the final credits on a film screen, revolve endlessly as the inevitable happens; spawning again and repeating endlessly. Repetition as ontology, as a (involuntary) tic that can't be stopped or manage, it exists on its own as the existence of the object even after the "destruction" - they exist because they are hyper-objects.

thank you/gracias
